Friday, December 7th, 2018: Moving to Value Symposium

On Friday, December 7th, 2018, Dr. A. Mark Fendrick, MD, Director of the Center for Value-Based Insurance Design (V-BID), spoke at the Moving to Value Symposium in Hartford, CT.  The symposium was jointly hosted by the Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute, Connecticut Health Council, and Connecticut Business Group on Health.  The goals of the symposium were to highlight some successes in bringing value to the health care market, as well as to address the opaque pharma industry and the need to modernize primary care and its’ relationships with specialty centers of excellence. Dr. Fendrick's presentation was entitled, "What's New in Value-Based Insurance Design" and can be accessed below.

Dr. Walter M. Booker, Sr. Memorial Symposium Addressing Value-Based Medicine (VBM) in Cardiovascular Disease –  Impact on Health Equity On Saturday, November 10th, 2018, Dr. A. Mark Fendrick, MD, Director of the Center for Value-Based Insurance Design (V-BID), spoke at the Dr. Walter M. Booker, Sr. Memorial Symposium in Chicago, IL.  The symposium was hosted by the Association of Black Cardiologists and addressed the role of value-based medicine in cardiovascular disease prevention and its benefits to underserved populations. Dr. Fendrick spoke on a panel alongside Rhonda Monroe and Dr. Eugenia Gianos about what value-based medicine means for all healthcare stakeholders.  You can view his presentation below.

Tuesday, October 30th, 2018: Association for Value-Based Cancer Care Summit

On Tuesday, October 30th, 2018, Dr. A. Mark Fendrick, MD, Director of the Center for Value-Based Insurance Design (V-BID), spoke at the 2018 AVBCC Summit in New York, NY.  This year's summit focused on the evolution of the value equation as it relates to cancer therapies and how to implement improve, and sustain companies while also improving access for patients and patient care.Dr. Fendrick's morning keynote was entitled, "Value-Based Insurance Design in Cancer Care: Right Drug, Right Person, Right Time, Right Price".  You can view his presentation below.

Thursday, October 4th, 2018: V-BID in Diabetes Webinar

Webinar: V-BID in Diabetes On Thursday, October 4th, 2018, the V-BID Center hosted a webinar in cooperation with the Center for Workforce Health and Performance (CWHP). This interactive program addressed the growing problem of cost-related non-adherence for patients with diabetes and explored the potential role of value-based insurance design in enhancing access to evidence-based care and improving patient centered outcomes. The webinar was moderated by Kim Jinnett, PhD, President of CWHP.  Panelists included A. Mark Fendrick, MD, Director of the V-BID Center; J.
