logogOn Wednesday, September 28, Dr. A. Mark Fendrick, Director of the Center for Value-Based Insurance Design (V-BID), spoke during a webinar jointly sponsored by the National Business Group on Health and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

The webinar, entitled “Value-Based Insurance Design: Incentivizing Your Workforce to Seek High-Value Care“, covered low-value care and how it is measured, as well as how employers can encourage employees and their families to seek high-value care.  Dr. Fendrick discussed how V-BID can be used to incentivize patients to get high-value care, how public and private payers are currently implementing V-BID, and recommendations for self-insured employers to implement V-BID plan design elements.
