Strategy and Transformation Consultant, Evolent Health

Andrew Mychkovsky is responsible for crafting market-leading, value-based business and operational strategies for Evolent Health’s health system partners.  In addition to strategy and transformation activities, Andrew serves as the health policy lead for ACA marketplaces and Medicare Advantage.   Prior to Evolent, Andrew worked for CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield in their MBA/MHA graduate development program and Blue Cottage Consulting, an independent healthcare consulting firm specializing in strategy, operations, and facility planning services for hospitals and health systems.  Andrew holds and MHSA from the University of Michigan and BS from Grand Valley State University.

“During my time at the V-BID Center, I found the real-life experience of writing testimony  for the Ways and Means committee and drafting comment letters the most valuable.  I became a stronger writer and reviewer of rules and regulations, which gave me the confidence to lead some policy analysis for health reform at CareFirst BCBS and Evolent.  V-BID exposed me to the principle of aligning high quality with cost-sharing, and the real value of understanding the payer perspective in healthcare.  Prior to V-BID, I was hyper-focused on hospital operations during my MHSA-tenure.  However, experience with the Center introduced me to the payer-world, which led me to MiPCT, CareFirst, BCBS, and eventually Evolent Health.”
